Woop Woop.. Club Two!

Hello all! I hope that is it beautiful and sunny wherever you may be today because it is raining here in Murfreesboro. Last night we had club again at Buddy Hoaglin's house. It was wonderful night of laughter, and loudness throughout the whole room. Jacqui Pierce gave the talk of the night and it was her best one yet! She spoke about God walking on water and Peter responding to God command to walk out to him. She spoke so clearly and full of passion that the room that had been filled with uncontainable noise went to complete silence. It was a great moment in my time while at Riverdale.

Homecoming is going on this week at Riverdale and all of the kids are enjoying all of the activities that coming along with the week. Some of the girls who attend club on Monday nights are on court and we are all excited to go to the game and cheer them on.

If you think of my team and I this week please pray we have welcoming arms. Not only are we trying to embrace the Riverdale High community with welcoming arms we are getting another male leader on our team starting next Monday. Taylor Rorex, who is a native of Murfeesboro Young Life, is moving back and is diving into the Riverdale ministry. We are so excited about the blessings God is throwing at us and we want to welcome him the best we can.

Windy Gap 2009

These are some pictures from this summer at Windy Gap. We took two fully cabin, about 24 kids, to camp this summer to hear about Jesus and experince him in a way unlike anything they could experience at home. We all had a blast and God did show up in countless ways!

Welcome Back Riverdale!

Welcome to the Riverdale Young Life blog. I hope to be able to keep you all updated on what is going on in my life, and the life of Rivedale Young Life. This year we have 8 leaders thus far into the semester. On my team with me there is Wyn, Garrett, Birttany, Heather, Abbey, Jacqui, Courtney, and of course me Alice. I am very greatful for my team and all they do for our minestry at Riverdale High School.
To catch you up, monday we had our first club at Buddy Hoaglins house. It was awesome. We had a lot of young (freshman/sophmores) kids come out, but that is very exciting. Throughout club there was a lot of energy with the songs, games, and the newest edition to club the RAFFLE! Garrett took thelead did this and he was hilarious! The kids and leaders absolutley loved the skit and laughter filled the room when he started getting into his character. I feel as if this year is going to be another great year at Rivedale.
Please be with my team and I as we venture into having young leaders and fresh new faces at club that we want to engage and get to know. Thanks for your support and I cant wait to keep you all updated as the year goes on!
